Gulf Harbour Yacht & Country Club, Fort Myers, Florida
Located within the prestigious Gulf Harbour Yacht & Country Club, this Fort Myers outdoorlighting project focused on elevating the nighttime ambiance around the client’s pool area andtwin waterfalls. The homeowners wanted to refresh their existing landscape lighting and achievea more refined, intentional design that would better highlight the water features and surroundingtropical plantings.
We began by removing two existing path lights that had been used to illuminate the waterfalls and replacing them with a more effective and visually pleasing approach. To properly highlight the twin waterfalls, we installed Sterling SL04 wash lights, mounted on risers to precisely cast light across the cascading water. This technique accentuates texture, movement, and reflection without creating glare—a key factor for comfortable poolside enjoyment.
To enrich the backdrop, a Sterling SL23 downlight was strategically mounted to softly wash light over the Lady Palms and Crotons behind the water feature, adding depth and layereddimension to the scene. Within the pool deck planter, SL01 up lights were installed to accent the Pygmy Date Palms, creating vertical contrast and directing the eye upward.
All fixtures were specified in a warm 3000K color temperature, producing a natural, inviting glow that complements both the tropical plant material and the reflective qualities of the water. The finished design delivers a serene, resort-style atmosphere—transforming the pool area into a tranquil evening retreat and a standout example of luxury pool and water feature lighting in Southwest Florida.
