Landscape Lighting Design in Fort Myers, FL
Located in The Club at Renaissance, this Residence represents one of our longest-standing client relationships and a true example of phased Fort Myers landscape lighting design done right. What began as a front façade and landscape lighting project evolved into a multi-stage installation that now beautifully illuminates the entire property.
The initial phase focused on architectural lighting and tropical palms using warm 2700Kuplighting. Canary Date, Pygmy Date, and Reclining Palms were carefully illuminated to emphasize form and movement, while the home’s façade was softly lit to enhance depth and texture. Shadowing techniques were used throughout the landscape to create contrast and visual interest rather than over-lighting the space.
The second phase addressed safety and usability after the homeowners welcomed a new puppy. Side walkways were too dark for evening use, so we introduced tree-mounted downlights in a cooler 4000K color temperature to replicate natural moonlight. These fixtures create a soft, dappled lighting effect that filters through the branches, providing comfortable visibility without harsh glare. The homeowners loved the result and later requested the same treatment on the opposite side of the property for symmetry and balance.
The third phase focused on the courtyard and pool area, featuring a pergola and spa. Pendant lights were discreetly mounted within the pergola to illuminate the pathway to the spa steps, while subtle grazing highlighted a decorative mermaid statue and architectural columns. A blendof 2700K and 3000K lighting was used to create a warm, layered atmosphere ideal for relaxationand entertaining.
From moonlit walkways to softly glowing courtyards, this project reflects the artistry, planning, and technical precision that define Get Lit Landscape Lighting.
