Outdoor Lighting Design Useppa Island, FL

On the exclusive shores of Useppa Island, this coastal outdoor lighting design project was designed to complement a newly built luxury residence while standing up to the harsh marine environment. Working alongside Sterns Custom Builders, Get Lit Landscape Lighting engineered a system that balances durability, elegance, and refined design.

Given the island’s exposure to salt air and humidity, all low-voltage transformers were installed indoors within electrical closets, and all exterior wiring was routed through protective conduit. Marine-grade, tinned wiring and heat-shrink waterproof connectors were used throughout the dock and mangrove areas to ensure long-term reliability.

Custom-mounted submersible LED up lights softly illuminate the mangroves and waterline, creating a serene arrival experience by boat while enhancing safety and visibility. Signature palms and specimen trees were up lit and accented with semi-permanent holiday string lighting, anchoring the property with dramatic focal points.

Additional features include illuminated dock piling caps, subtle estate signage lighting, and restored original fixtures integrated seamlessly into the new design. Every lighting effect was carefully composed using principles of balance, contrast, and depth.

The finished result is a one-of-a-kind coastal lighting system that enhances the property fromevery angle—by land or sea—capturing the artistry, precision, and craftsmanship that define GetLit Landscape Lighting.
