Sanibel Island, Florida Lanai Lighting Design

This Sanibel Island custom lanai lighting project was designed to transform a newly built screened lanai that felt dark and underutilized after sunset. The homeowner wanted to enjoy the outdoor living space at night while preserving the relaxed, coastal character of island living.

We installed a Garden Light LED 300-watt transformer paired with Garden Light RGBW up/down sconces mounted on the lanai’s vertical beams. These premium fixtures provide both architectural accent and functional illumination, adding depth and visual interest without overpowering the space.

The RGBW technology allows the homeowner to easily adjust color temperature and hues to match any mood—from soft, warm white for quiet evenings to vibrant colors for entertaining and special occasions. The fixtures were positioned to evenly distribute light across the lanai while maintaining clean sightlines and a polished appearance.

The result is a beautifully illuminated lanai that feels inviting, versatile, and perfectly suited to Sanibel’s coastal lifestyle. What was once a dark patio is now a warm, welcoming outdoor retreat that enhances the home’s livability and nighttime charm.
